How we make money
Short version: some outbound links pay us a commission. That money never buys a better ranking, and it never changes a number in a calculator.
What the commission does not affect
Every tool on this site produces its result from inputs and published figures. Commission rates are not one of those inputs. Concretely, that means:
- Ranking and ordering come from the criteria stated on the page. A company cannot pay to move up.
- We include relevant options that pay us nothing, and we label them the same as any other.
- Nobody gets to review, approve, or preview a page about them before it is published.
- If a tool's math would favor a company that pays us less, the math wins.
What we will not do
We do not claim to have hands-on tested products we have not used. Our value is arithmetic and organized public information, not a pretend product review. Where a decision genuinely requires hands-on experience we do not have, we say so on the page and point you to people who do.
Accuracy and staleness
Prices, plans, and terms change without warning. We stamp each tool with the date its underlying figures were last checked, and we cite the sources so you can verify. Always confirm current pricing with the provider before you commit money. If you find something out of date or wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
