for each statutory contribution:

amount = base × rate
totalEmployerCost = annualGross + Σ amounts Rates and caps come from the sources cited below. Nothing else is added.
The contributions, line by line
These are the statutory employer-side charges. They sit on top of gross salary — the employee's own deductions come out of the gross figure and are not an additional cost to you.
| Contribution | Employer rate | Cap |
|---|---|---|
| Pension (emerytalne) Stops once the annual contribution base reaches PLN 282,600 (2026). | 9.76% | PLN 282,600 / year |
| Disability (rentowe) Subject to the same PLN 282,600 annual base cap. | 6.50% | PLN 282,600 / year |
| Accident insurance (wypadkowe) Varies by sector and headcount. 1.67% is the common office/services rate; industrial activity runs to 3.33%. No cap. | 1.67%
range 0.67–3.33% | None |
| Labour Fund + Solidarity Fund Uncapped. Comprises Labour Fund 1.00% and Solidarity Fund 1.45%. | 2.45% | None |
| Guaranteed Employee Benefits Fund (FGŚP) Uncapped. | 0.10% | None |
A worked example
At a gross monthly salary of PLN 4,000, an employer in Poland pays PLN 57,830 per year in total: PLN 48,000 in salary across 12 instalments, plus PLN 9,830 in contributions. That is a multiplier of 1.20× the quoted salary.
Change the salary in the calculator above to run your own figure — the example and the calculator use the same code.
Salary instalments
No statutory 13th month. Annual bonuses are contractual, not required by law.
Leave you must budget for
Statutory paid leave is 20 working days, alongside roughly 13 public holidays. Rises to 26 working days once total career tenure reaches 10 years (education counts toward this), so most experienced hires are at 26.
Paid leave is not a separate line of cost — it is time not worked inside a salary you are already paying — but it changes effective cost per working day, which matters when you compare countries.
Where this gets it wrong
- The accident insurance rate is set by sector and headcount. We default to the common services rate of 1.67%; confirm your own classification.
- The PLN 282,600 cap applies to pension and disability only. Once an employee crosses it mid-year, marginal employer cost drops sharply.
- This model covers statutory employer contributions. It does not price benefits you choose to offer, recruitment, equipment, or the fee an employer-of-record provider charges on top.
